Life really began for Claire when she went off to college and became a Texas Longhorn!  After receiving her Master's degree from Emory University, she began her career as a nurse educator at Texas Woman's University.

Claire took some time away from education to have more time as a mom, but eventually returned to help found Georgia Baptist College of Nursing in 1989.  She served as their Dean of Students for twelve years until they merged with Mercer in 2001.  2008 is her nineteenth year in Student Affairs work!

LITTLE KNOWN FACT:  She has been happily married to the same man for 36 years!

Marge Roberson, Administrative Secretary
215 Sheffield Student Center

A life long Texan, Marge grew up amid the oil fields of West Texas and is no stranger to tornados, dust or tumbleweeds.  She went to college at Texas Tech University and lived in Lubbock, Texas for over 20 years.  Her husband, Glen was last transferred by IBM to Atlanta 12 years ago and they are loving "Southern" life.  Marge's career has evolved alongside Glen's transfers and as a result she has a rich background of sales, insurance, and multiple levels of administration.

For five years beginning in 2002, Marge and Glen balanced careers against hectic and time consuming adoption proceedings with both Dekalb County DFCS and China.  As a consequence of this labor of love, Chase, Michael and Hannah now call them mom and dad.  Even though life at their house is not as peaceful as it once was, it is very good.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT:  Marge loves to read but almost always reads the end of the book first.
